Autodesk Revit Family Creation
Course Overview
This course covers the basics of Family Creation within Revit software, from profile and simple families through to nested fully parametric objects. Delegates are introduced to the process of creation and editing families and the tools utilised for parametric adaptions.Course Objectives
-
- The primary objective of this course is to teach students the concepts of families and introduce the tools and processes for parametric family creation within Revit software. After completing this course, students will be able to:
- Describe the types of families within Revit and their uses
- Use the fundamental features in the Family Editor
- Create reference based solid and void form geometry
- Apply constraints and parameters
- Understand nested families
Prerequisites
-
- It is strongly recommended that you have knowledge of Revit software and have completed an essentials course, as well as a working knowledge of supported Microsoft operating Systems. Additionally, experience with AutoCAD is helpful.
